Right guys just had the shittiest chrimbo. i was at work boxing day and on the day afetr that i was following these 2 cars. A porsche and a Passat estate. They pulled in and let me by and i went past and they pulled behind me straight away and the porsche got right up my arse flashing his lights. Then in my town i had to wait at some red lights and the porsche pulled in front of me and the passat behind blocking me in. Then a passenger from each car came out and asked us what we were doing then one opened the passenger door and took my friend out then one sat in the passengers seat and grabbed me round my neck telling me to give him the keys. So i did. then i got out the car and the other passenger from the passat had his hand# down his trousers saying that he had a gun and he was gunna shoot us if we didn't run. So i we ran to the path and they all bolted off with my car :-(. It had my brand new dvd radio that i had for crimbo in it and my phone and luckily my friends iphone which had a tracker which helped the police find a few hours after they car jacked me. i got told that it looked ok but they don't really know atr the moment. They have to have it for a week for forensics. It was **** scary. we didn't see a gun but we wern't taking any chances but we were ok and my car has been found

Did you have RAID (Renault Anti-Intrusion Device) turned off? This locks the doors when driving off to attempt to stop car jacking like this from happening. Though to be honest... I would probably sh*t myself in that situation and let them take it anyway.

This is what Police and insurance is for... can't put a price on your life or safety.

Can't really say anything else other than the obvious - at least you're both OK and the car is found. Fingers crossed there is no damage or missing items.

It was in my little town of Melton Mowbray Leicstershire. To be honest we think the 2 cars they had were stolen aswell they were only mid-early 20's and the police said they may have been from nottingham. Because we thought they were stolen cus they were driving like total twats we got the reg of the passat and a bit of the porsche. Think i'm gunna keep a small bat in my car. My m8 opened his window cus he thought that they were just gunna say sdomething but i hope they get the death sentence when they get caught.

Wow, thats some real GTA thing.

I know its easy to say now and everything goes so fast then but when I would see a car like that pull up in front of me, I would try to floor it (I said "try").

When a stranger approaches to talk to me in my car I only drop the windows a few centimeters (hint from my mom when you lower your window and they spit in your face and call you a whore)

The RAID has been tested twice in my car, once by a drunk, secondly by a random nutter that claim he was going to kick my head in at a set of lights.

Press and hold the 'lock doors button' near the hazards for some thing like 5-7 ish seconds, the doors will then lock when you set off

so as soon as i have driven then they will stay locked even if i have stopped at a light?/

yer the doors lock when u go above 5mph the first time u start the car and then stay locked until open the door from teh inside.

Eeeek. It's quite scary that they did it when there were two of you in the car. I would have thought they would only target lone drivers.

Just a note on the RAID setting... it should be on by default (pretty sure it should be anyway) but once it's set on/off it will stay that way until you change the setting again. You won't have to hold it down every time you start the car - simply drive off and *clunk* your doors lock and the red LED will light up.

Any attempt from the outside will fail but as soon as you try and open the doors from the inside of the car they will unlock.
