Holy ****, that's crazy, my friend has just spent a week in melton, was this in the news? Not sure hoee common this happends furthur down south but iv'e never seen it in cumbria. Crazy ****. Hope they get whats coming to them, scum of the earth! At least you and your friend didn't come to harm.

it was in the early hours of the morning. there were 2 cars so like 5 lads all together just thought **** it we will have that. Gotta ring up the police to see how my car is :-/

Not heard of this happening and as my dad works alongside police in Leicestershire we normally get a heads up of anything happening in the area first, not long ago a group of travellers were targeting bmws and breaking into your house or pushing you out the way when you answer your door to steal the keys and the car, they even tried to knick my parents 1 series! Thankfully we never open the door to unexpected visitors and two large dogs at home persuaded them to leave.

Hope it all gets sorted soon and they get what they deserve.

Ask to speak to whoever is the duty officer(think that's what it's called in police) as you should be kept informed on any progress.

Heard about the car. By what they said all i have to pay is 150 towing charges :-(. But the car doesn't seem to have anything stolen from it or any damage. Dunno about the engine if the have ragged the **** out of it. But i should be getting it by the end of next week. Also caught a lad who is on bale and i have to go look at some photos of him to see if we recognise him. Happy New year everyone. Its a big birden off my shoulders.

I wouldn't wory too much about the engine as they are capable of many track days and the limitter keeps things within a reasonable level... How many flat out laps of the ring has Yotah done?

As for the towing charges once found, were you given the chance of collecting the car from where it was found? And if not, why? After my Astra was nicked from Stanage Edge it was found abandoned on the outskirts of Sheffield. I was told where it was found and given the option of it being recovered or getting it myself, which I did.

Now a days with forensics it's always recovered so kinda a bum deal but of it catches the person well worth it.

As for the engine out of the 20000 miles ive done it's done over half around Milton Keynes being used!

Can anyone give me any idea of getting new locks and keys etc for my entire car. Not taking any chances with them twats having the keys and all. I want the keys that you get with the new fiesta where they can just be in your pocket with a push start button ;-). And how much. If its to much i may aswell go through the insurance and miss out a years no claims.

You mean access like the Renault clios keyless.... Don't think it's possible. Speak to Karl (twingogekko) he may know where to get replacement locks or bits like that or even a good deal! You never know
