I've only just seen this. Glad you're both ok and they've recovered your car.

I can't believe they went to so much effort and risk to get a fairly cheap car (in the grand scheme of things).

Was there any sort of altercation before they approached you at the lights? Is there CCTV?
 
this is what i know. Where they car jacked me the cctv did not capture anything. My car has had its forensics done and will be back in my arms very soon. I will have to pay at least 150 for towing charges. They have told me they caught someone who has been interviewed. Obviously denied it and been let out on bail. They have photos of him which me and my friend need to see so that we can say whether or not it is him. I am very doubtful about the photo as i cannot remember anything much. But by the sounds of it my new dvd radio thing is not stolen neither is anything else. And the car has not said to be in a bad condition so fingers crossed.

Sounds totally bizarre. It seems like a motiveless crime, which is very unusual.
 
You cant get push start unless you retro fit it with a after market kit.

For a new lock set you will be looking around £300 off the top my head. Im off work for a week and half once im back ill have a look. If you havent heard from me pm me to remind me :)
