Cars been in there for a few days while it had new back bushes and the exhaust sorted under warranty and its come back without the tow eye.

:x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

im not impressed at all, especially because you cant get them any more!!!

all i got from the dealers is i didnt notice it, i wouldnt mind but theres a great big hole where the tow eye should of been because the blanking plate isnt there. as if im just gonna leave a hole.

a far from happy customer and as usual, pretty s***** service from co op derby.

gonna have to stop using them because nothings ever simple when i take my car there.

anyway, rant over and keep an eye out for a tow eye up for sale, especially if its from the derby area

That's pretty shocking. They saying they've not got it anywhere around there workshop to re-fit it?

Looks like it's fairly shoddy service through the co-op renault group. I got a bunch of very bad service from the Nottingham branch which is why I now go across to Smiths at P'boro, and bought my car from Madeley Heath near stoke.

Hope it can all be sorted quickly for you. If they're trying to claim you didn't have one - surely you can use your photo history as evidence? https://www.twingo133.net/gallery/out-the-dirt-emerges-t1078.html

Complain, write to the manager/director, make sure you win

they STOLE from you mate...dont take it sitting down!

ive just emailed them pics showing it on the car so they cant get out of it now.

RUK may have to get involved soon. cheers for the advice though guys!!

I'd think about giving RUK a call or message on RS forums in any case. They've been pretty helpful when I've spoken to them before. Can't hurt your cause, and at very least having it as a complaint logged with them could help?!

Just remembered your recent pic from FCS too

the dealers have just spoken to me.

there words were, u didnt tell us it was on the car or we would have taken it off, its been in the car park since friday, it is used as a cut through for other people, blah, blah, blah, to say im p***** off is an understatement

cheers for the pic though mate, forgot about that one!

That's pretty shocking. Why should you have to walk around your car and tell the dealer every little thing on your car. Do you need to tell them it's got wheels too? And if they didn't take it off and it was "stolen" then your car has been damaged whilst in their care so they should still have to rectify it.

Christ I wouldn't leave it there. Kick ass and Take names.

I once had a dispute over the cost of some work at an Alfa dealership and effectively held their courtesy car captive until they wavered it. They did threaten police action, but didnt have the balls to carry it out.

hahaha, love it, may have to take there megan rs 250 hostage ;) they may do something then.

its not the money im worried about, its the fact i wont be able to get another 1. just have to wait and see what they say now but i wont rest until i get it back

Why would you have to tell them its onthe car?

I think its poor performance from the dealer and id be on the phone to RUK customer services or drop Jeremy on RSUK a PM hes a nice guy and really helpful.

That was my point I made to them. It was tightened with a bar any way so there was no easy way of getting it off. I will see what the service manager says tomorrow then I'm on the phone to RUK. Thanks for all your advice when u rang me as well matey. Really do appreciate it!!!

No problem :)

Quick update. The service manager is taking no responsibility for this whatsoever and he still hasn't rang me back despite numerous promises so RUK are getting involved

I told you to speak to RUK its the only way to win against idiot dealers

I thought I would give the dealership a chance to redeem themselves first but that hasn't happened. Im doing exactly what u said now though

gutted for u mate, they sound like a shi* dealer!!!

i love the "u should have told us it was there"!!!!!!!what a load of wa*k

I took my car in for a new rear windscreen wiper motor at renault toomy ,they pop rivited a rivit straight through the body work on the boot,I was not happy they did a good job in the end fixing it.
It is a good service station though.

Gutted Dave - they had no right to take it, or even touch it for that matter. Give RUK a buzz and see if they can go and kick the Co-op up the backside. I always think of the Co-op as little neighbourhood convenience stores not car dealerships, perhaps they should stick to what they know lol.

Speak to Renault UK and get there advise!

When my old smart got sprayed incorrectly all dark grey instead of grey and black and claimed my paint had faded! (long story) I refused to:
Give courtesy car back, went to daimler with an email to all top bosses!

Fight your corner, build up a portfolio of images from the last few months too show it's a feature not a temporary add-on, and if they have CCTV ask if it can be viewed by you and senior manager!!
