I now go to the dealer in ilkeston. Thankfully there a bit more experienced when it comes to servicing my patrol (As most places refuse to look at it as they are "Scared" of it !!)

Both of my cars get serviced at the same time now and at the same place.

I have been to the Peterborough Nissan (the one by the ice ring?) and i have got to admit they are more than helpful. I had a issue with the brakes on the patrol (The Brake bias valve got stuck and only the rear brakes were working)

Took it down to them with out a appointment (As i was on holiday) and straight away they had it up on the ramps trying to figure out what it was. within 10 Mins they had managed to locate the issue and even fixed it and didn't cost a penny (but we did take 2 of the mechanics out as they wanted to see what the patrol pulled like XD)

Even down to when we pulled up, they got straight out of the car (They even used there own seat covers) and used a laser thermometer to check how hot the disks were ... Ive never had service like that anywhere else !!

Damn Derby and Nottingham are crap God knows where I can take Panda.... :(

Take it to the ilkeston one if your in nottingham. It is the better of the 3, Just make sure you cover your back with them.

Dont even think about going to Basford, even the parts section is rubbish.

I ordered a lot of my parts from them, my 197 pedals arrived 3 days after i ordered them. it took 6 weeks for them to decide to ring me to say they were hear.

Even when i rang them up week after week asking if they have arrived, they just said they haven't, when in facet they were sat in front of them !!

Peterborough is good, though a bit of a drive. Have heard good things about Chesterfield too, which doesn't take too long to get to with the m1

Its such hard work finding a dealer that is competent at doing the job. I've worked in dealer land for a while now, and the biggest killer is bonus it forces technicians into cutting corners to make money. Which is wrong as all it hurts is customer satifaction.
I'll be servicing my car myself using Renault parts. Only using them for warenty work who I know the service manager.

If you're prepared to travel a bit then Jaybee Renault in Banbury, Oxfordshire are an independant main dealer and their customer service is fantastic and highly reputable. :) www.jaybee.co.uk.

i expected that to happen to be honest mate, they are shocking!

isnt chesterfield closer? they were awesome with my car!!

In some respects good news. Co-op Renault dealerships haven't been pulling their weight, so it's good they're getting some comeuppance.

completely agree mate, its about time they got dealt with properly. ruk must have had some serious complaints about them then to strip them of the contract

Yeah glad I don't have to go back.... I do think Chesterfield is closer and with so far better reports.

Not sure they needed much of an excuse. Renault are looking to significantly decrease their dealer network in the next year or two, I believe.

Surely it's the fault of the managers and board of directors at Co-Op pulling all the strings and not the actual dealerships themselves? Of course the dealerships themselves are probably failing as a result of poor CSOs though.

Crossroads Renault in Oxford have recently been bought out by the Hartwell group so no doubt they'll be going down the pan soon. These big groups, whilst initially they may be helping the independants on a financial level (by buying them out), on the shop floor they're being ruined. Alls the group chain dealers care about is money!! Annoying.
