Finally got this done this morning, sounds great.
Quick questions though:
It does vent slightly at low throttle, is there anything I can do about that?

Yup buy another. There are many that vent so you have to be careful what DV you buy.

Get an adjustable one, or one which you can change the spring. You need a harder spring to stop venting on partial throttle

+1

Does make a difference getting the spring tension right. Holds boost higher up the rev range and stops it dropping off. Is yours remapped?

No not remaped, this is the first mod I've done. So leaving it as it is for now until I get an adjustable DV isn't going to harm the turbo?

Not if you set it up properly, I assume the internals are ceramic so need to be a bit careful

Should be. I did exactly as shown here.
Although I couldnt work out how Prab got it to sit at that angle.

It does make a great noise though.

I've done the same thing mate. To get it to go at that angle I used the pipe off my after Market 1 cos if u look at the 1 on there now the is to grooves each end for it to fit into and do up with the jublee clips.

Mite have to give that a try myself Prab my k-tec dumpvalve is ***** it's ventin
Wait, is this the K-tec you're selling me? :p
Yeah it only vents on the motorway
Never used a dumpvalve and I've been reading alot about them now. So what you mean is the air escapes when you're driving at high speeds? (eg: motorway) because mine is re-mapped so it generates even more pressure..

A blowoff valve (BOV) or dump valve is a pressure release system present in most turbocharged engines.

Its purpose is to prevent compressor surge, and reduce wear on the turbocharger and engine. Blowoff valves relieve the damaging effects of compressor "surge loading" by allowing the compressed air to vent to the atmosphere, making a distinct hissing sound, or recirculated into the intake upstream of the compressor inlet.

Sorry to re open again, is that just the standard unit?

Yes it is mate. All you need to do is buy a 25mm blanking plug, pull the pipe out the back (plug it up) and turn the valve around so its facing the bonnet and your done. I tried this but I found it to sounded a bit weezy so went back to a baileys.
