Second hand I think you'd be lucky to get a decent DSLR for £60.

it was just a basic Digital Camara i was looking at maybe 6 Megapixel or above what ever £60 buys these days really

Don't just go by megapixels, it's all about the sensor! A phone could have 6mp vs a camera with 4mp and the camera will still be better quality. Mp is just how many pixels make the image so in the phone case, with a tiny sensor, it just fills it with blurry crap basically.

Best bet as mentioned above is look for the cameras in your price range then check the photography website reviews.
