So it's a while since i posted something again but i have been being a bit bussy making something unique (i think) for my twingo i had this idea to clean up the front bumper a bit more nicely and agressive :twisted:

so this is what i have been doing

running around like this at night makes the nose of the RS pretty aggressive now ( to bad we still need license plates in the front)

but at day you got this ugly front to look at with those holes in it ...

also i saw how crappy renault did their paintjob on mine and covered it up placing our massive numberplates on there so no one would notice ...

so it was grind it all off fill up the holes and paint it , but i had another idea and some of my friends with expierience in this line of work helped me alot with this

so bumper off (also testing new fog lights 30W Cree led bright as f***)

so we started taking the grill out and the reinforcements inside the bumper and then we started to tape it up for the next process

the next process was laying down layers of fiberglass

after a day both fiberglass molds where hard and time to cut them off

1 front bumper fiberglass raw piece

after the fiberglass molds where made it was time to put the bumper back together cause i needed the car to go to work and without a bumper the police would stop me instantly (also why does renault use so many rivets in this bumper it almost insane, we used a few bolts and rivets ...)

raw fitting of both fiberglass pieces after some sandpaper grinding

so now it was time to do the final touches get the uneven bits off and get a smooth line , so this guy had the trained eye and experience for it

attention to detail

now a few more finishing touches and of to the guy who will finish the product to its final stage = carbon :mrgreen:

hahaha you mad man, i love it! this will look cool when it's done. i was discussing this just last week with one of the boys in the bodyshop. i was even looking at moving the front number plates down to the bottom right by adding a small plate onto the bottom grill at the bottom right side (if you were looking at it front on). cant wait to see the final outcome

I've just read through this thread for the first time and really enjoyed it I think I may have to add that BMC air filter to my mod list. I'll likely do it the same time as manifold/exhaust so it can be freshly mapped with it. Look forward to more updates.

Normally i would promise you guys pictures of the carbon pieces but stuff got delayed and bla bla work so yeah soon soon , i made some preparations to fit my jap style license plate holder

this is still a sorta prototype test setup maybe paint it or put it in different place ...

So finally the front carbon parts are finished and when we where about to get fitted , we where like how do we stick it to the car and keep it there to dry to be sure that it is fully stuck on the car and will not come of anymore

so very simple you need some zip ties , some cheap microfibers and a few building bricks (some friends even didn't believe me when i said i did it like that here's proof)

so this is how i drive around now

so this is where my numberplate is off still have to make it better that number plate mount tho

so yeah the front is almost finished then we move over to some other upgrades ...... :mrgreen: also have to thank a good friend of mine Wesley without him i could not build this

hehe +1 yeah its cosmetic would be a pain to make a bumper completly out of carbon fiber :mrgreen:

got to say that clio is absolutely revolting, but i can appreciate the work that goes into something ... different strokes for different folks they say

ghostz - i can't help but notice on the left hand side of the reg recess, it looks badly deformed or warped. as if it's carbon fiber wrap that's not been stuck down properly!

maybe its the light impacting it that it looks like that ?

thing is it still need a good polish job sand it lightly and polish it to smooth out things maybe thats what your seeing and yes here and there are a few mistakes cause simple this is done by hand ... and not with a vacuum molding procedure (like streamline does) , if had to do that it would cost me probably 5 times more (or even way more) cause not alot of ppl do it in belgium for a fair price ...
