I recon it would take a lot of looking to find a better looking £1400 motor than that.

You jammy sod :)

The wheels are a bit if a funny one, they're actually grey but really really dark and in the sun they've got a weird blue-ish tinge to them. So they will be getting refurbished at some point to a colour that works better, whether it's the OEM silver or Iceberg silver or a funky black/bright colour combo.

The bodywork actually cost me a bit over £600 as I had a the side skirt repaired as the front edge had caught something and had a bit of missing paint so thought while it's in I'd have it sorted.

As you say though for under £1,500 you'd struggle to find a better. In fact now the bodywork is sorted I'd say it's near enough a minter and about 50,000 miles below average mileage too.

I'm not so sure now. £1400 was ok, but 15's a bit steep

Yep, your still a jammy sod

Haha I know I know, I am a jammy git.

Funnily enough I saw my mate who sold me it at Brands on Saturday and he was well chuffed seeing it repaired and looking how it was when he bought it. :)

Well now the hosepipe ban is lifted it'll be easier! Just for the record Alex... I hate you

Well if you were up here for fcs with us...

Take your mind off them kids and the fence ;)

Haha if I could afford it mate.

We're getting a load of work done on our house so the cars have had to take a back seat! 6 weeks of work so far. :(

Well little update on the Clio, the b*stard failed it's MOT! haha

Excess movement in some ball joint and a blowing back box. So had a Powerflow back box made up yesterday and here she is....

Tis a 3" tailpipe and had it made to sound purposeful but not chavvy. Nice little burble and it now sounds like it's got a 2.0 litre engine in it haha

Just done a little trip to a friends wedding so about 100 odd motorway miles. On crusing the tailpipe sounds a bit louder but nothing too crazy, only under load does it drone a bit but when you put your foot down through the gears it sounds mean! haha

Booked in for Tuesday to have the suspension ball joint thingies sorted. Then re-MOT and it's good for another year! :)

Still a steal of a car and looks awesome. Do I remember reading somewhere that the cambelts on these have do be changed quite often, or am I mis-remembering something?

Every 36k for the aux belt.
Officially every 72k or 5 years for the cambelt, though nowadays its restrospectively recommended by Renault every 4yrs or 50k+.
£400 - £450
While your fannying about with the aux belt you may as well change the cambelt and do it at 36k (and water pump)

A few horror stories back in the day of cambelts going snap at 40k. :(

I had a 172 and changed the belt at 4yr 52k
My 182 had both done at 3yr 36k
