Well they say the only difference between decat and sports cat is a couple HP... Would be interesting to see differences if there was JE and one other a sports cat?

Funny, after all this time I check the website of Skytune where I got my exhaust and he's now selling mutiple 200 cell sports cat, FMIC & air intakes.. why didn't I see this earlier

i got a 100 cell cat in my garage some were from when i had my clio but never got around to fitting it. the cats seem a bit expensive on skytune. mine was about £100 :)

100 cell wont get you through MOT here.

They're costum made and welded on so it's worth for the work he delivers.

I emailed him and fingers crossed that he can do it.

for the ammount of power you gain i wouldnt bother going sportscat, the only reason i want to go decat is so i can get some overrun added into my map for bangs and flames lol

Going from a standard ceramic cat (approx 400CPI) to a 200 cell metalic sports cat should see about 5% increase in power. The metal substrate won't crack either, so exhaust pops won't make it fall appart.

Still, a complete de-cat would give higher gains and wouldn't be affected by exhaust pops. However it will need swapping out come MOT time.

A 100cell sports cat would be fairly pointless. Highly likely to fail the MOT yet still not as good as a de-cat.
