they are pretty cool mate to be honest. They are a decent spec too. U wont be disappointed with it :)

Look like good devices. Think you were lucky to get an order in, they sold out pretty fast this morning.

anyone going to get the nexus 4? when they get more stock........

my s2 is feeling a bit dated now. Was going to break it then fork out £50 for a replacement through the insurance, might as well trade in the s2 for 150 and stump up the rest :)

Yeah i was lucky i just happened to go on as they went on sale :p

I'd be tempted by the Nexus 4 like, its going to be getting all of the updates first and looks like a top notch bit of kit, if I didnt have the HTC One X i'd go for it :) although I'd recommend the One X or S3 anyday :)

If I didn't have a Galaxy Nexus I'd probably be looking at a nexus 4. It looks like a very good bit of kit, include some good features, and is of course part of the Nexus range. At £240 (8GB) / £280 (16GB) they're very keenly priced too.

As a side note, where can you trade in an S2 for £150?

Envirophone give £147.11 for a s2.

I'd be careful of other company's, especially cash4phones. A mate of mine sold his s2 to them, at the time they offered £210, they came back and said it was full of scratches, it wasn't when it was sent, and offered him £90, they upped this to £130 when he said he wanted it back and he decided to pay the postage to get the phone back and sell it elsewhere. When the phone came back and it looked like someone had stepped on it and ran it over some gravel.

02 recycle. Going direct on the website vomes up with something like 145 but if you do it through a comparison website like i did, goes through as 152

I've bought my mum a Nexus 7 for Xmas so looking forward to setting it all up for her and seeing that compares to the iPad. :)

Re: Mark & weebob: So they do. Didn't expect that, they're crap on price for some phones.

Funnily enough I gave in and bought myself a Nexus 7 as a day to day tab I can take to work etc. Only got it on Saturday but really impressed with it.

It certainly does everything that my iPad 3 does, looks nice, works well and the best bit was the price. 32gb Nexus for £200 compared to a 16gb iPad Mini for £70 more.

Compare the two the Nexus has a far better spec than the iPad mini in pretty much every respect.

Ram, screen, processor, graphical capabilities far exceeding the apple and the storage capacity.

Ill be looking at one...

Yeah i looked at the Nexus 7, but didn't see the point personally as my phone's 5" so i wouldn't gain much, so glad I went for the Nexus 10 though. Just bought my Grandma a Nexus 7 as well :)

Android is certainly the way to go now, Im stuck using my iPhone as my HTC is in for repairs, iOS just feels so restrictive now.

I personally don't think big expensive tablets make any sense. Might as well buy a laptop with more functionality and same cost.

Smaller tablets seem to make sense to me more as they're genuinely portable, more functional than a phone and don't cost anything really. Samsung tab 2 for £128 is a bargain.

Does beg the question why mobiles sim free cost so much if the tech is much the same or not even that...

Probly cause nearly everyone needs a phone, and not everyone needs/wants a tablet?

Im i snobby cause i want the ipad mini just because its apple and im used to IOS :(?

Well if you look at google's current drive they dont. 8GB Nexus 4 is £240, 16GB version is £280. Keeps it more in line with their tablet costs for the nexus 7 & 10

That's because google are selling at cost in an attempt to penetrate the market and its working, the idea to gain on ap sales.

But look at the s3 vs galaxy tabs

I'm a massive Apple fan and have variety of their products but the Mini isn't really that impressive. I mean yes it works like any other iPad but it offers nothing new other than it's size. I just mean in that it's an iPad 2 which has been around a while and means that you buy one new it won't last as long in terms of future IOS updates. That puts me right off buying one as you're paying for what it is inside an old product and you're paying the Apple premium. I don't mind paying that price if I feel I'm getting the latest tech which I have with other products.

Put it this way I love how my iPad 3 works, it's fast slick and looks awesome. But for a portable, go anywhere 7" tablet I'm happier saving myself £150 for a 32gb Nexus than the Mini knowing that it's has more thought put into it.

On the apple website comparing the mini 2 and 3, the ipad mini is exactly the sMe spec as the 3, except the retina display, which isnt as easily noticable cause its the same resolution as the 2 on a smaller screen.. Or are they missing a load of other tech that they dont want to tell you is rubbish!?
