Yeah i did.. Couldnt get right in the centre though, youll have to get in there with a wire brush and give it a good scrub!

Just got the quotes from a couple chroming places.. £60excl vat +postage.. Think ide best get a new one..

Mike. Cut the ring off, spray the screw on piece to stop it rusting and get something like this to fit (sized as required)

I dont think theres any point buying to fix that one, ive already wire brushed the hell out of it!

If i got this, what could i do to stop it rusting? Get it proffessionally lacquered?

I got that towing eye off eBay and I had to modify it as its not long enough to screw into the bumper

theres not many places that can do proper legal reflective pressed metal plates.

I have a set from Europl8, which carry the makers name and BS markings. Standard double plates >>From here<<
Likewise, Maggi has used another place which I beleive also has been tested and complies. In which case, Mike should have the makers name on the bottom of the plate
