So pleased, really good guys at Trident!

Sad to say it, but i dont think my car is gonna change anymore! :(
Ive thrown alot of money at it, and i seriously love it, but there isnt anything else im unhappy with! Without talking about expensive coilovers or interior retrims, but it isnt worth it really

Hope you guys like :D

Looks amazing! I think a picture of the whole outside of the car is in order now :p

Gonna give it a good cleaning this weekend if the weather picks up, then will get some piccies :D

well the car looks perfect as it is - so your bank account can take a rest for a while.

I'd hate to think how much it would take to make my extreme looking anything like that. :)

Anyone wanna guess what this is going to be ;)

My parents were throwing out an old leather sofa (fake leather)

So i thought **** it im gonna grab some off it and see if i can make a decent prototype for me to be confident to buy some real leather and make a couple :D

Sewed up and in place..

Prototype 1 is looking most of the way there! Not bothered with fancy stitching yet, still needs some adjustments to make it fit better!

See if you can move the stitching away a bit from the edge of the parts, this way it will be easier to stitch, and cleaner as you won't get such an uneven edge like now.

I would use a piece of material between and not stitch the two together directly, and fold the edge very slightly into that.

That must be the way that the decorative coloured stitching is done, there isnt another way! But the way its just is just basic one to the other stitching.. The excess on the inside i cut off as much as possible but still got in the way leaving the uneven edge :/

But yeah thanks maggi i was wondering how it was exactly done!! My next few hours i get im re-doing it, as it aint perfect, and im the biggest perfectionist ever :(

The actual stitching holding it together will never be seen I wouldn't imagine. I'd fold it back and stitch to a strip. Then fold it, do the same to the kther and them decorative stitch between like you suggested. Ill get a pic tomorrow of what i think I saw it, on the rs gearstick.

I'm no housewife though and have no idea really!
