1. It's not to be borrowed by anyone.
2. It's not to be borrowed by anyone.
3. I want no stains on it from a Mr Karl.

lol ;)

Whilst it's with you mate I'd prefer it's locked up rather than left out but at the end of the day it's your works insurance not mine if it's damaged or stolen. Anyway, this thread is detracting from the seat questions..... Back on topic Mr Founder.

Now that I've looked through your build Al, I think I'll be going down the same route.
My dad's got a spare length of T45 left over from his Xzara when he got the cage built.
It's only really something I'll be using for the track and shows so welding into my nice bodywork would be a bit too extreme =P

Liking that.. Don't have time to look right now but assuming more details in your build thread then? Assuming it's attached where the seats slot in...?

Yes, it slots into where the Cup seats or European non-Cup (both single rear bench) are attached. It's solid, secure with the latch that locks into place and also doesn't have any permanent welding to the car.

I've had mine in over 18months on quite a few trackdays and it's been great. Also great at keeping the wheels in place during transport ;)

That was exactly my thinking. I wanted everything on the car reversible and this solution is ideal. I don't have rear seats in so leave the bar in all year round.

I had TRS originally in the Orange flavor. The thing that put me off and made me change to Sabelts was the quality of the TRS's really wasn't good - plasticy buckles and very average stitching.

As mentioned I have a guide-ish on RS forum on seat fitting and airbag looms.

I had TRS before in my first car and the stitching wasn't too bad. Granted the buckle was cr*p but the plan is to go to a Magnum 3" Harness, need to find out how long the shoulder straps are to see if I can wrap them around the rear Strut brace. I'd get an orange towing strap to go with it too.

If not, I'll probably be running Sabelts, my dad's got a set of 6 Points for sale.

Ta Very much =)

Funny we were talking about the orange TRS's the other day when I've just found out my old set are now in the Burpspeed Clio Racer.

about the harness belts, not sure if they did it on on the Cups, but in the boot attached to the metal work was 2 metal rings. it would act the same as the eye bolt system with harness clipping into it. its mounted in solid. this would be more of a danger with rear bump but im guessing you'd use it for track only and would be great and easy

Are you talking about the ISO bar that runs behind the rear seats?

I hope you're not talking about the two loops that I attach the cargo net to.....

Haha, i had a quick look at them- (like half a second, before I realised they'd brake INSTANTLY in a shunt)

Phew! They'd be totally at the wrong angle anyway.

Looking good, Ill second Al being helpful! Found those Recaro kits fiddly, the connector pins are very delicate. I just separated the resistor and soldered it.
