Trimming the new arch to match the shape at the bottom of the old arch, so I can fit it. It would be easier to cut the old ones like someone else suggested I think  but now I have these, I'll happily cut them to shape as I can keep my originals original

The new rear bumper must be thinner at the bottom. The top doesn't need trimming much at all. I've made a template and placed it over and started trimming. Plastic is easy to trim back, then I'll sand it flat.

Made a template a little bigger and cut roughly and sanded the last mm back. Then test fit.

Not a perfectly flush fit but this is just laid over, not clipped in (I've only got one clip left onthe new arch).

This isn't going to be quick but hopefully worthwhile! Not sure what to do with the holes for the clips that will remain yet though

Did you do some research on mesh? Come across anything OEM plastic looking?

I did quite a bit of looking mate, couldnt find any plastic at all!! I could have been looking in the wrong places though

Im sure JE_GT said he had some plastic mesh in his shed, not sure what it looked like though

What did you go for? I'm worried on something like this it could easily look a little barryboys, so will look at having the hole filled

I went for some black metal mesh.. Theres pics on my progress thread i think..

I quite like the shadowy effect, ide get the hole filled and pained over, would look better i think!

There's no way this is gonna look on a prefacelift twingo without looking barryboys I've decided. I will continue to work on it for a bit and refine the one arch until I'm close and make a decision then, but I'm not sure what I can do, as there's going to be 4 holes visible without additional bodywork I wasn't prepared to carry out

Nice to see some progress on them arches, looking really good. I had to do some extensive work on mine as well, even though I just cut the gap in the pre-facelift arches. No mesh behind it, so I'll see how it works. Mine were painted and are read to fit next week, I'll post some pictures when it's done. Hopefully it'll look good, but can't tell.

Where can I get some of the double sided foam adhesive used for the arch it attaches to?

What about numberplate adhesive tape?

Needs to follow the edge of the arch to hold the top flush. Would Renault be able to provide some?
