im reading it from the online brochure, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS, page 12/13. look at cup chassis bit on the right hand side. wheels/ tyres. it says cup chassis is 205/40 r17. renaultsport chassis is 195/45 r16.

And it shows 195/40/17 >>here<<

Go on then James, get one ordered as we need to find out what size tyres are actualy on it

The guys over on RS forums have confirmed its 205/40 R17 on the new cup wheels

The tyres with the Cup are 205s

Thanks Jeremy. Sorry if this throws the cat amongst the pigeons -

Why the change as previously the 195 was chosen over the more readily avaliable 205 for a reason. Has there been any changes in the suspension settings and geometry to maximise the change to 205's or has the 205 always been a better tyre for the RS133 cup?

Hi, I have the Twingo RS with Cup Chassis. The tyres are the 195 40 17 Continental Conti Sport Tyres. I now need to replace the second one in as many months and as with the last time I cannot find anywhere that stocks this size (including the dealership). Each time I have to order them and wait weeks - leaving me driving around on the spare. Can you advise which other size tyres can be put on this model using the existing alloys - as I might have a better chance of finding a different size in stock as standard. Thanks

Hi Wonder Woman, officially there is no other alternative tyre size for your car, as the chassis behaviour has been optimised around the tyre size. But try contacting our motorsport tyre supplier - Protyre 01782 411001 who have a nationwide network of outlets, they have always been able to obtain tyres through their different channels. Feel free to mention my name and it might help.

Hmmmm. So which is the better size I wonder as they previously wouldn't recomend 205's?

We got our first facelift Twingo 133 in and it has the 195 size tyres on the cup pack wheels also the renaultsport spoiler is fitted as standard

Hello Rich and welcome. Thanks for the update.

shakes head... So it looks like 195/40/17 is still standard fit after all. Whats going on?

Thanks for the welcome I am going to check with the sales guy tomorrow just in case if it's a miss build,

I'd happily take my current wheels off and put them on a new rs as I have 205s on them. That's if I'm tempted enough by a deal from Watford

It was only through the window, but the new RS133 in Inverness has 195 rubber fitted and has the RS center caps on the cup alloys... Also, the wheelbolts look to have hollow heads.

Shame it's in white, but the white detailing on the black seats looked good :)

Are they all leather or part?
I don't know what material they are. Just looking through the window but they looked better than the old style material

Can't be worse than what I have now. Seriously, I wonder where Renault get their material for their seats, but it's some of the cheapest about

Lol how did you find out? Cos all the literature just says Renaultsport front seats and doesn't elaborate. I want them. I want them bad! The interior looks much better, despite still being shocking for 2012

By looking at a lot of literature on it lol and dealer pictures etc. U can c that the headrest is material wrapped in leather on the sides and the bolster parts are leather (although it's not real I don't think) mums is officially ordered she placed the deposit on it this morning £65 for the new RS mats with the white Piping and RS logo :) cannot wait!!!
