It annoys me how the BC spring on the rear axle looks more normal than the one from KW Suspension (Weitec). On the Weitec one, the spring is almost fully supressed, it almost looks like it's too long and/or soft for the Twingo RS chassis.

Damn it, you make me regret I didn't go for BC coilovers.

No rubbing in the front at this height?

Do t know what it is but my front right and rear right rub off springs rears I ly going over bumps and fronts when I turn ...:/

Do you have cup wheels?

The rears there's a tab. I didn't properly consider you post and missed the part about the fronts. On mine I noticed it rubbed on the front arch, where the arch part of the front bumper goes over the arch liners at the front along the inner edge. I will get a pic tonight to explain what I mean, unless Neil/someone else already has.

With the cup alloys and 205/40/17. The only rubbing ive noticed so far was doing a hard right turn which has a bump in the middle of the road and scrapped the front left lip (the one infront of the tyre) on the road and the front tyre rubs on the arch liners at full lock

When stationary ive about 2mm clearance on the front left tyre.

Yoko's are smaller than the 205/40/17 tyres on the cup alloys, so should still be good with the different offset.
EDIT - The yokos and Speedlines did rub on the rear :(

Intercooler? am i missing something?

Todays tasks.

Investigate the knocking from front right suspension and check and set the geometry. Spirit level, ruler and string at the ready.

Paint calipers, cut and fit new mudflaps, trim 10mm from the flaps that hang down infront of the front tyres as they scrape very easily at the moment. Clean speedlines and refit them

Busy day ahead then!

I rubbed mine back a bit a while ago when I changed the tyres. Gonna have to go down to 195s again I suspect, but we shall see tonight when the front bcs go one my car (and I start my own progress thread (eventually))

This little tab may rub on the tyre, so a piece of soft wood and a hammer bent it up a bit.

Very expensive camber gauge  Being as my drive is gravel and therefore not level, I used the horizontal level to get the subframe and strut tops sitting level whilst the car was jacked up. Using a plumb bob, both left and right castor angles appeared to be close but I couldnt measure the actual angle. Then, with spirit level adjustable angle bubble set at 2deg from the vertical, and placed against the face of the hub, I slackened the two hub mounting bolts and set the camber angle so both sides were equal at -2deg. At this height, the change in camber when on the ground isnt much as the lower wishbone is almost parallel to the ground. So, the wheel sits at nearly 2deg static camber

String box setup for checking and adjusting the tracking. Two bits of string set parallel to each other and equally spaced either side of the car. A ball ache to set up, but then measuring to the front and back edges of the wheel gives fairly acurate results for adjusting the tracking

Result. Only a short drive, but the steering wheel is centered and the car doesnt pull or wander significantly when hands off. I'll get it laser checked once the springs have had time to settle, but last time was close enough to not bother adjusting anything.

Did you manage to sort that knocking Neil?
Yes. The nut at the top of the topmount was beyond finger tight. 'Ass u me ing' the top mount was factory assembled like the spring preload is alredy factory set and tightened up.
I was going to be going over everything whilst doing the setup, so didn't physicaly check it whilst fitting. It obviously wasn't and backed off slightly on the first test drive

Nice and quiet and I think they are smoother than the Apex springs and cup dampers :?

I have the Weitec Kit that K-tec sell. I got some knocking from the front usually only on start up and uneven roads. I was thinking it might be a problem with my mounts. Mine could still be a little bit lose. Is it a easy fix?
