Just been speaking to the mechanic who does all my services etc & he said be careful with spacers as the rear bearings are a well known weak spot on Renaults, he recons trying some 133 rear suspension that may be wider as standard?

I still want to go with the spacers - has anyone had issues with the "weak spot" (if it even exists!)

It may be a week spot but I've never heard of it before, I've run spacers on all my cars, Citroen c2 and 2 twingos and never had a problem before

Cool - I think i'l take a gamble next month & pick up 4 :)

can't say that i've noticed renaults to be any worse on their rear bearings than any other car out there, uhhh lol i think this fellow is talking a little bit out of his back side!

Would like to get some 25mm spacers for my 133 which one are best for fit and quality etc any advice would be great fully received :)

eddie you'll need hubcentric ones with 8 bolt holes (4 to clamp onto the hub / 4 to clamp your wheel onto the spacer). go with billstein or head over to driftworks and get the 4x100 magnesium aluminium alloy ones which are a bit more expensive than your usual ebay baddies but are a lot stronger!

Don't get 25mm for a 133, they scrub the back arch like crazy, every crack and bump in the road it's cuts into your tyre

Oh ok what would be best then 20 mm??
I think you might be alright with 20mm, I'm sure Callum Stirling had 20mm and he never mentioned a problem that I know of

Fantastic thanks very much

As brad said I have had 20mm on both my cars, I am running 205 tyres all round and admittedly they do scrub on the rear lol but it's not that bad and my car is on springs too so it's worse. You wouldn't want 25mm, 20mm sits them pretty much flush and looks great :)
