No news I'm afraid, still the same steering feeling, apparently its just the transition from PAS and EPAS. oh and of course a mix of this and rubbish part warn tyres and auto grip on the back. I'm thinking of changing from the 185/55/15 to 195/50/15?

Drove a Citroen DS3 and the steering feels the same with the vague feeling at the centre, the feeling must be from the EPAS but the handling must be from the tyres.

Quite possibly for both of the above.

The first time I drove Karen's old mini, I wasn't an instant fan. EPS certainly feels different.

I've always fitted fairly good tyres but picking a good tyre from good reviews isn't always a certainty for a decent outcome as peoples opinions can vary, also varying weights of cars and different suspension can give different results with some tyres not suiting some cars.

Thank you, what tyres do you use? I'm not one to splash a fortune on tyres for track days and stuff, just a general good tyre with reasonable handling In the wet, that isn't too soft, preferably with rim protection...

The standard continentals are good, I'm finding falken ze914s very good also.

Had nankangs before but had no choice as they came with the car, utter rubbish and avoid.

Previously, I would never consider Nankang which are normally mentioned with "ditch finder" within the same sentence. However they have brought out a new trackday type tyre NS2R which from first reports seem rather good... at least on the value and initial reports. I'll see how the reviews are looking next time the AD08 are due replaced and decide then :? £65 each for 195/50/15 in medium or soft compounds :)

I had nankangs on my c2 and they were the best tyres I've ever had, better than my continentals

Just a quick question, I've noticed that the GT has the same outer anti roll bar drop link as my 1.2 16v, as anyone up-graded the outer drop links to a polybush alternative, the reason I ask I see that Powerflex do a kit for the Clio 16V which looks to be identical to the one fitted to our cars.

I'm just looking to tighten up the front a little and make the anti roll bar work more efficently, also noticed a lot of movement in the standard inner wishbone bushes so will look at maybe replacing them again with a poloybush alternative - anyone done this??

Not worried about noise, I'm already running K-Tec solid top mounts with B14 Bilsteins :D

it can look the same but it you'll need to find out wether or not the diameter of the strut is 26mm. The D4F setup in the GT shares the same ARB parts as the K9K powertrains, which covers dacia / nissan / renault small cars, you'll need to compare the ones on the clio to see if they match as this varies.

Not sure what the significants of the 26mm would be, are you talking about the diameter of the actual anti roll bar or the diameter of the drop link (which is the part I'm looking at) Here's a link to the part - https://www.powerflex.co.uk/road-series/product-details/Front+Anti+Roll+Bar+Outer+Mount/327.html

I've ordered a set as they are only £24 for both sides so I'll see if they fit this weekend and if they make things a little tighter. :|

the ARB bush is 26 mm, the ARB's diameter is 26mm on the GT. the biggest powerflex sell is 25mm therefore 1mm too small. also things like lengths and heights are things to consider. are you sure that the part numbers for your old clio and the gt are the same? perhaps the best thing to do would be to contact powerflex directly, sure they could replicate OE parts on request

Update!

I have purchased some Spax Lowering Springs after good reviews and being informed to lower my car for a better feel. I haven't had them delivered yet but I went out to check if the springs I have at the minute are "pigtail" springs. I've said yes as the coils get smaller nearer the top and bottom.

Besides of that though when I was checking the shocks I noticed that the cup where the spring sits was about an inch higher than the other. Can anyone post info on their front shocks for me?

My Shocks have these numbers;

Front Left- 8200 851036
0307-100-0978
KYB
071107A

Front Right- 8200 601698
0307-100-0487-A
KYB
071211A

HELP?! Haha
