One thing left to do is to buy a product to "loosen" a bit the adjusting screw under the front suspensions. As they are exposed to water and debris, they got a bit rusty and it´s now pretty hard to rotate them by hand to adjust the oil in the coilovers so I need to clean that to bring it back to complete usability.

i use this stuff at work for rusty screws that have been stuck for ages and still come loose , but i wont give you a 100% guarantee that it will work but it is good stuff ;)
and if you put the screws back always dip it in some copper grease it will stay good forever :D

I think someone should arrange a clio and a megane lap with this twingo to get a perspective of the speed

A Megane, if it´s well driven and the guy knows the track, I can´t keep up, too much power difference. The Clio, I could keep it in my mirrors but not in the straights. We´ll see, end of June, as my friend comes with his, with semi slicks on it too, so I´ll chase him :D

Hasn't your car got more or less the same power to weight as a clio now? Know what you mean with them Megane's there's people getting low 7:50 BTG times which is insane seeing as Lambo's and the like were getting those sort of times a few years back

Lambo has never been good for track anyway, unless you go for a Gallardo Super Tropheo, which is a race car.

Comparing laptimes, it´s better tio look into the GT3s and some M3s to be honest.

Regardint the power to weight ratio, a Clio is 200hp for 1200kg approx, mine is 140hp for 1000kg, so normally, I´m still short ...

I´ll have to weigh it to be sure but the structure is anyway heavy, and that, well unless you cut through it, you can´t save much on it. Seats and wheels save weight, but that´s about all. The plastics represent maybe 2 kgs max, the seats should be around 60-70kg all included, and the seatbelts, well the Schroth 6 point harnesses are actually the same weight, or almost heavier...

Add the 2 airbags to the lost weight, but then remove the new steering column which weighs quite a lot...

I should be under the ton, but definitely by only a little, but I can be surprised (and would love to, in a good way obviously :D )

Stripping out my saxo lost 20kg easy just by spare wheel and back seat
I dont know if theres any of that horrible tar stuff for sound deadening on a twingo but that usually weighs a lot

Yes there is, but if you remove it, then the car resonates a lot more, and also you need to re-paint where you removed that crap, therefore so far, it stays in mine!

you could swap the tar stuff with "alubutyl" (don't know the english term) which is weapon of choice for car-hifi enthusiasts. weights less and has better sound dampening qualities... :)

Cut the roof out. Carbon replacement...
Carbon boot and bonnet....
Of course get it painted

Pretty much what I intend to do with the engine swap, among many other wild things :D
