Thats some seriously impressive work Turbo.
Question though, are all these parts not a seroius money bomb? Is it going to be worth it over the price of buying one in good condition?... Or was it a purposeful project :D

it will prob cost me as much as buying a "good" one but at least i no its all been done and 90% of the time when u buy one and get under it u are going to find stuff wrong or stuff u wana change

plus i like the thought of keeping another renault on the road

sorted the insurance in this tues so have been driving it non stop since
its still got loads of probs but its loads of fun and the exhaust noise is just pure

after seeing dazza's tow strap i want one!!
im thinking of getting stickeroo to make me some stickers so as i can turn this into an old cup race car replica (if he doesnt mind)

what are peoples thoughts??????????

Unless the tow strap is properly cut through the bumper it looks shocking (ie square home not just sticking out a round hole). As for stickers............ depends on the overall design.

Mike do it! you have put some seriously awesome work into this car so make it special and do what you want with it:)

Love this thread.

thing is i used to hate "stickered cars" and never really liked tow straps but they are growing on me and if i use this on tracks just thought it might look cool  and a bit diff to all the other clio's!

i think if i go stickered id have to go the hole hog!il try and get some pics of what im thinking :geek:

Keep up the good work!!

cars coming on nicely mate, cant wait to see it in the flesh.

the stickers would look good and its your car so make it unique to you mate. if u like something then go for it

cheers guys

think il just order the tow strap and c what it looks like

il look into the stickers and see if i can find any good designs and costs

The position of the strap is soooooo much better than the Twingo, go for it.

got up at stupid o'clock today to go do a few hours at work, went out to the clio and iv got a flat tyre  and no spare coz its a cup
so i managed to bodge the spare from another car on it and took it to work.

on the ramp, checked the tyre = nothing :?:
so popped the tyre off to check the rim and found a dirty great crack in it

so iv had to put the black 16v alloys on it from the old rsi as thats all i had at work.

then after a few hours at work the sun came out so i thought sod this im going for a blast
so packed up, jumped in to the clio and went off for a blast
had been out a couple of hours and was just about to head home when i stopped at some lights and my clio sounded like it had dropped a shell
so i took it back to work for inspection only to find that the dephaser pulley has given up and now iv got a 2.0 16v diesel

so guess what il b doing nxt week  not the best weekend so far so im off to the pub

thought id post a pic or two of the clio with its new temporary wheels
i think they look quite good actually!and they are only 15" and have made the handling much better altho it def needs lowering if i leave them on!!

what do people think???

na mate, keep the tourinis!! they are so much nicer. shame they have got a crack in though! can that be fixed? its a shame thats happened, you were flying with this project

cheers mate i like them to

yea if i keep them then i reckon it needs at least a 40-50mm drop
(if my coilovers ever turn up)
