What Karl said. Reputation is built on quality of service not a plaque above the door

Doesn't matter if we have used the same dealer as Darren either for our opinions to be valid, I never added anything specific to them :p

Also you have to pay for the showroom change and have to run each renaultsport model as a demo so you are paying to have a name above your door when you can work on getting a name without paying.

You don't have to change your showroom ! And you get tested by RUK every 6 months. Also you no longer have to run each sport as a demo !

I agree that's why I give that dealer 10/10 for there service and they get a good write up on the Renault sport forum !

Do you work for said dealer

Karl works for Renault so don't be offended if I take his word for it ;)

When we got offered it this was all the things we was told to do. But anyway this thread isnt here to argue about becoming a Renaultsport dealer. Its about a Twingo Renaultsport owner being upset by a dealer. And everyone has there own opinions.

Theres more then one thread about arnold clark

Not interested in the other Arnold Clark dealers just thought I would defend the dealer I use! I get a great service and they do t even know I work for RUK!

In fact any car related forum I have never seen a good word about Arnold Clark written. And I've seen that name a lot.

I've found a dealer that seems good and when I have a good experience I will report it back. You get a lot of bias on forums as people tend to report the bad not the good dealers, however, usually people would argue (like you have) in a dealers defence. In the many threads I've read about this particular dealer network, you're the first!

I have had a bad experience in another Arnold Clark Renault dealer but pollokshaws branch restored my faith due to there good service! I agree that it's only bad reports that get put on but we should defend things we no is incorrect ! For all we know the driver of the twingo could of acted like a cock to the staff and that's why his back is up. And if I was to be 100% I would say there one one guy that has now been removed from the branch that was rude. But apart from that 100% recommend.

But your experience was clearly a different one so I can't understand how you know the OP is wrong? Unless you were specifically dealing with it at the dealership?

I know a few who have had a bad experience, including me, at a merc dealership. And others who can't praise the same dealership enough. Because I obviously dealt with the bloke with under developed genitalia who thought it was alright to not act like he was bothered with customer care.

1. We are talking about a persons experience here, do you know what he has stated is incorrect? For what he classes as a unacceptable treatment, may be acceptable to others. For the record it would of been unacceptable to me, if I had been though the same.
2. It maybe a idea for someone that has presented themselves as working for RUK to not state a member of the community 'for all we know' may of been a cock...

are you sure you dont work for said dealership?? Seem to be a little defensive over it.

As you can see by the time stamps, I was in the process of editing before you posted,, but my comment still stands. Your not in a position to say 'for all we know' that he may of been a cock, it shouldnt matter.

At worst, even if he was I dont think he should of been treated like this. There is no excuse for shoddy workmanship.

Again doesn't really matter if they haven't tightened the engine mounts correctly or it was a faulty part. The OP was venting about what he perceived as poor service, sharing a experience, that's what a forum is designed for. People are able to read it and take what they want from it. Much as you defending the same dealership.

Unfortunately as Karl has pointed out there are more than a few threads showing a poor level of service from Arnold Clark.

True a forum is a debate and a place to voice opinions. However, stating you work for ruk are you not effectively a representative of them as an employee and therefore any opinion you give, should be representative of them...?

I think perhaps you should speak to a manager, show them your posts and let them decide if you were out of order? Cos I certainly felt you were... If you weren't, you gotz nothing to get defensive about.

All were pointing out is his experience is x and you're arguing it's y when you can not surely know unless you were either him (which unless you're a wierd troll you're not) or you work for the dealership.

Highlighting I presume you're using troll in the prankster sense, and not in an offensive manner
