Yeah I thought if I'm going to give the car a detail (see my other detailing thread) the headlights need to match. Because they'd been wet sanded once it only needed the DA to bring them up nice.

You read my mind on the number plates mate, I was looking at getting some plain plates as I'm not a fan of the GB logo or any other logos on them. :)

Best get onto Alex at elite for them plates ;) LOVE mine and how they look. And in 2 and a half years I've not had a single comment from mr plod, not even to ask to see the bs markings

Oh no, looks like your photos have had too many views :(

Maggi, got a link? I could do with some new ones myself

I got mine through Alex directly. Not sure of they're on the website yet

The pics should be working now, I've been meanign to upgrade my Photobucket account anyway so it should be fine now.

I've ordered some plane number plates that should arrive today or tomorrow. Quite literally standard font, no border, logos or slogans.

The front plate on the car at the moment still has the scar from when my mate drove it through his gate! lol

I absolutely love the stuff, it looks good, beads nicely (that shot was only a 20 second shower) and if you learn that a little goes a long way, it's really easy to work with.

I plan to wash the car again and give it another coat at the weekend, then hope it won't need another polish/wax until the Autumn. :)

Sounds good. Tbh I'm tempted to ditch the nano stuff and grab a bottle of this and srp again or zaino. I miss the two

I could never be ar$ed with the whole nano stuff, looked very specific and I've never felt a need for them over the products I've got.

Give me a nice bottle of 845 or pot of Supernatural and a regular top up with Red Mist every other wash. :)

Can't stand red mist personally. 110% to do with the s****e spray head! Ill allow 10% back for the smell though...

I think I miss my wooden pot actually, it was good fun to apply

Red mist beads like no tomorrow but on metallic acrylic spritz is better really brings out the flake

Yeah the spray head is a total pile of ar$e, I've got a couple with the old style spray heads that were so weak but worked ok on the normal stuff. Now it's 'Tropical' only the new spray heads put out too much as it doesn't evapourate as quick.

I like the results but it's fiddly to use.

Completely baffled now haha, my questions were regarding the reg plates. Yep photos are working again.

Sorry for the confusion!

Alex with the plates is Alex at Elite Car Care, I don't believe they're listed on the website.

Oh haha, now I'm bloody confused!! lol

Your name is Alex. (Still with me?)

There is also another Alex, who owns and runs elite car care (keep up man!)

Is there anything else I can clear up for you? :p

Aaaaanyway, I ordered some plain and simple number plates on Sunday and they arrived today so I got em fitted.

The old plates were ok but apart from a bit scruffy looking, had that GB logo that I just don't like.

so off with the old. And what a pain in the ar$e cleaning up behind the previous plates was though. Obvious had two previous plates fitted as it had two sets of massive sticky pads, not your usual strips but massive great things. Still some patience, Autoglym tar remove, few cloths, some polish and got the recesses looking clean...
