Sorted the rattle Monday evening.

The new development is wheels. I've bought some used 182 wheels needing a refurb (as they're going black I decided to get whatever was cheaper as long as they were straight).

I've just had 2 on as they've got good tyres, and I've got more clearance all round for more lows :D the bumper will hit the ground before the wheels touch the arch. I've got 5-10mm additional clearance where it was rubbing before. Rubbish pics I know

They will be going black soon, just deciding where. Also deciding on rubber. They're going to remain 195/45r16 for clearance obviously. I'm thinking Conti sport contact 3s again as they were good last time just expensive in 195/40

It will look better once I lower her a little more but obviously I'm rolling on cup alloys till these are refurbed.

Looks like a drive down to Guildford to bum karl and whilst I'm there drop these off, or see what my client says he can do tomorrow.

Waiting on a quote but based on a quick estimate it looks like ill be taking them up to max powder in apsley (15 min drive) to get powder coated black and new tyres fitted in the coming weeks. Quite excited :D

Having driven with 17" on the back and 16" on the front today (for good reason :p ) I can say the 16" brings a new level of comfort and quality to the ride, beyond what the coilovers have. Plus I can go lower. Win win.

Next update will be some wire, solder, heat shrink and some boot light. It's already there just needs an update.

Plus the tyre choice is bonkers by comparison. Can't believe It's so restricted on 17s now.
How are you finding the r1rs? I won't be getting them as they're only available in 205s and I want 195s still, just curious.

205 just catch on big bumps at the rear, they just a fraction to wide and nip the lip of wheel arch

r1r's are great, with the contis i found the limit before the car would slide a little, still havent found the limit of them yet in the dry or the wet.

only done a few hundred miles in them so annot coment on wear and tear but driving wise they are better than contis, and give me an even bigger smile in the twingo, which i didnt think possible

Since yesterday I have 1,5 centimeter spacers on the back.

Now when driving on the highway and you get a big bump on the road it sometimes rubs in the back.

I'll need to see if I can hammer out the tab in the back a little more :p

37..

but the rear arches on the Wind could be entirely different to the Twingo RS.

The Wind has a fat ass.

That it does ;)

Did it not rub at 37 then? Mine being 45 I can't see there being any issue, especially as they'll be running 195s

Without looking closer, I guess we won't know for now.

So I've ordered new tyres, and the wheels go off this week. Should have them by the weekend so I can look at painting the front calipers, changing the front discs and pads and getting them on and lowering the front a little more.
