There you go Maz. This is the place.
Those Lexus 1UZ-FE V8 Throttle Bodies Direct to Head

There gonna be damn close to the upper rad hose for the velocity stacks , unless you are planning a smaller rad or rerouting hosing.

One thing I don't understand about Throttle bodies though.. doesn't it heatsoak like a mother *****??

Some are placed at the front/nose of the car, but in the Twingo case they'll be back up against the hood, no?

You are wrong, in the Twingo, ITB would be in the front of the car ;)

They shouldn't be any worse than the original inlet manifold, which sits at the top of the engine bay. That gets hot. I'm planning on using a plenum, with a filter and cold air feed instead of the usual sausage shaped foam filter just behind the radiator ;)

Hence looking at moving the battery and coolant expansion tank.

I understand this , but the angle needed to pass the upper radiator hose would be much more then the look of the photos . I could be wrong but thats the issue i cme up against on mine.

Unfortunately, I'm aware of that being a possibility. VW Polo radiator could be a solution as its small and the top hose connection is on the opposite side so it would be well out of the way... I'll borrow it from the Westy for a trial run if needed.

Sorry Ollie. I missed your post on the previous page, so the one above about the hose and angle now makes sense :)

Throttle Bodies

Same dealer, so same letter alocation and 1 year apart.

As it was avaliable when I got the Dini, I chose the LFL to match the Westy (rude not to realy)

I kind of fell out of love with it, so its still waiting for me to sort the ignition timing and a few other issues after ditching the points based ignition for an optical switched dizzy. I was going to get it running and MOT'd earlier this year and get it sold. Maybe next year as I think summer is about to end

That's stunning  Build it yourself?

If you come to sell it i might know someone who'd have it!

Neil , What angle to the inlet flange have they gone for? doesn't look very much maybe 20-30 degree?
Looks to be about that. Too little and they will hit the alternator and too much will leave the trumpets too close to the bonnet/slam panel to get a filter on :?

Either way, its going to be tight. I've got a Mk2 clio expansion tank which I think will work, so I can move the original from under the slam panel and have it next to the engine mount... I'll have to chop a small section out of the inner skin of the bonnet for the reservoir cap to fit into as its a few mm too tall at the moment

why you don't move the twingo expansion tank instead to put a clio tank?

notice that also Sodemo make throttle body for K4M but it dont fit at all in a twingo ^^

but in any case the radiator could be an issus and should be lowered

Neil, do you have any idea how much your 2118's weigh? Looking at getting them and powder coating them black.

the Twingo tank is shaped to fit under the slam panel. I may end up using it, but Clio Mk2 or VW tanks are a neater shape (round or sphere)

AT Power have made a single shaftless throttle body for them. Wayne mentioned this at the start. Fitting a replacement single wouldn't have helped as its the manifold plenum pressures varying thats causing my flat spot

but in any case the radiator could be an issus and should be lowered
once I know how things are going to fit together for the radiator and slam panel, I'll change it if required

afraid not James. Being a gravel rally wheel, they aren't the lightest.

do you have the original air box?

maybe a big air box can reduce the flat spot
