Thank you for the explanation :) so instead of listening to the crap on this morning to see if its gonna rain I should talk to you. sounds more accurate than the if but and maybes i get in the morn haha

It's only a guess anyway. Forecasts are modeled on what the weather HAS previously done in similar conditions. Being as it as a dynamic element, nothing can be predicted with true accuracy, which is why the BBC, Met office and ITV regularly have different forecasts

If you ever notice the pressure charts (the ones with lines drawn on them) and theres 6-8 lines across the height of the UK, it will be rather windy, like the last few days.

Wind will rotate around a LOW (depresion) in a counter clockwise direction, hence my earlier coment of westerly winds from a LOW above Ireland, which happens quite regularly... Use your left hand and point your thumb up for High or down for Low... Your fingers indicate the wind direction around the system

Contrary, Wind will rotate around a HIGH in a clockwise direction.

Low pressure tends to bring wet and misserable weather

Highs tend to bring clearer weather durring summer, and clear cold weather durring winter.

all this talk of weather is far to high brow for the spam thread

The missus came home steaming drunk last night.
"You up for some role play action, babe?" she asked with a wink.
"Not really," I replied.
"Oh, come on," she said. "We can act out ANY scene, from ANY film you want."
Walking over to her with a huge smile on my face, I noticed her expression change. She had realised her mistake, however it was too late. Where I had previously seen arousal in her eyes, I now saw only blind terror...
As I shouted, "THIS... IS... SPARTA!" and kicked her down the stairs.

I was standing there, hands trembling, my wife due home from work any time now... I reached for my youngest daughter's top - it came off with little resistance.
Her training bra was my next hurdle. Hands still trembling, I gently unclipped it and unable to control my hands I watched it as it fell to the floor.
Her short little skirt was next, I reached out and slid it off. As I ran my hands slowly over her My Little Pony panties I could feel they were already really, really damp...
Anyway, I'd better finish getting the rest of the washing in - it's raining and my Parkinsons isn't making it any easier.

"Stewardesses" is the longest word typed with only the left hand

And "lollipop" is the longest word typed with your right hand.

No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver, or purple

"Dreamt" is the only English word that ends in the letters "mt"

There are only four words in the English language which end in "dous": tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous

There are two words in the English language that have all five vowels in order: "abstemious" and "facetious."

TYPEWRITER is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard.

If the population of China walked past you, 8 abreast, the line would never end because of the rate of reproduction

How about sweaterdresses (though it is sometimes hyphenated)

wiki answers answer
Despite the myth that nothing rhymes with purple, month, orange, or silver, each does have at least one rhyme and, as with any other word or phrase, rhymes may be invented or adapted to suit the occasion. This is famously evident in many limericks.

W.S. Gilbert, a world-class rhymester, claimed in an open letter to The Graphic in 1887:

'It has long been supposed that there is no rhyme to "month." There is a rhyme to it--not "onety-onth," or any lisping version of such words as "once," "dunce," etc., but a legitimate word in everyday use.'

In an earlier letter, he said:

'I still adhere to "millionth" as the best rhyme to "month," and I have the authority of the greatest poets in the English language for treating it as a tri-syllable, if I feel disposed to do so.'

More of Gilbert's correspondence on the subject can be found at the link below.

In addition:

Month rhymes with uneath (a very obscure and now archaic word meaning 'difficult' or 'not easily (borne, or done)'.

If you do the math, assuming an average walking pace of 3.1mph, using the current population as 1,331,460,000 and population growth rate etc from the internet you get the answer that the line would finish in uder 5 years.

There are more chickens than people in the world
Yep, cause we kill 8billion of them a year to eat (apparently)

However thanks for that as the "smarty" that sent me those "facts" will be getting it tomorrow! lol

Sorry, I get paid to be inquisitive and a smarty pants :D

Just caught me in one of those moods. My dad once sent me an email with all sorts of crappy number related things in it. Like "this year combination only happens every two hundred years" or some tosh like that. I school those emails with maths. ;)
