He also told me there hasn't been a replacement made to a Twingo in 6 months lol.

They do make me laugh. Hopefully being sorted next week now

Mine are the uprated part supposedly and haven't split yet despite the drop, happy days.

Bizarrely a local garage quoted £330 for the work to be done which is considerably cheaper than Renault quote

Tell him mine got done under warranty about 2 months ago with the gearbox at only 22k miles and I rang RUK and told them so I will be on their system.

Don't renault charge like £600?

Yeah I had your name and Alex ready to quote off the top of my head, within the last couple of months.

Either way I got the info down on their system and then spoke with the garage, who didn't hesitate in telling me it is not covered under any circumstances until I invited them to contact mark camp at Renault UK to discuss.

Either way, I will be having carries done, as at its MOT these weren't even an advisory and then split quite rapidly

Any chance if you could find out how to tell if you have the uprated parts or not?

Wouldn't mind knowing if mine are now the uprated.

Am I imagining that the updated ones have an orange ring? Or did the old ones have that as well?

Where is the orange ring located? Are you able to get some pics please?

I'm gonna need to get mine checked soon I think. Driver side was slightly creaky/knocky before the coilies went on so god knows how much worse they'll get now.

How many years/miles is the manufacturers warranty valid for? Hopefully I can get RUK to contribute toward mine as well!

Mine where change last week and i pay extra fee to fit the thermal protection at the same time

I will try to put often some plastic protectant to keep them in good health :)

3 years, no idea how many miles.

Think it's 3yr/60K typically. Don't know if any 133s made it onto the 4+ scheme though

Arse, that puts mine outside the warranty then. I'll have to have a word with Renault and see what's what!

Don't quote the 3 years though. Mines over 3 years and I'm currently trying ti get RUK to pay for mine. There was someone one here with a 5 year old twingo with 54k on the clock and Renault paid 75% of the costs

Ah ok that's good. I'll get on the phone to them Friday after work and see what they say.

After looking at people's comments on here it seems mine are close to going or already have. Steering wheel is off centre dropping toward to the right and it pulls slightly left at times.

Yeah that's how it starts, just gets worse. Mines a nightmare to drive atm :(

Luckily mine isn't too bad at the moment, but the roads around me don't help (and neither do the coilovers :?)

Fortunately I don't do many miles, usually only about 200/300 a month

Just need the money to get them changed :(

Well sat in lincoln reanult waiting for car to be checked for failed ball joints. Already have one woman try charge me £45 for the car to be looked at when RUK confirmed that no costs would be paid by me.

I'll be phoning them tomorrow about mine! Will it matter that I have the coilovers on now? Or would I be best to put the standard suspension back on? With it being out of warranty it shouldn't be a problem should it?

They can say that changing the suspension parts (i.e. coilovers) could effect the failed part - so be willing to cover less with you having modified the suspension away from standard
