Glad you are happy. Need to work on fitment. Once I get them spot on I will send you a set ;) ;)

Dibs on the old ones if they come off in one piece and uncracked ;)

I'm going to need to pull of the right one anyway because it's not sitting right like I want to.

The left one is okay.. but it's harder than you think fitting a mirror cap like this straight on to the OEM cap.

That's CHEAP AS CHIPS for a service!

might be worth it to service my car in Belgium me thinks..

What was wrong with your steering wheel? mine shows some wearing on the left hand thumb holder thing.. And a new steering wheel would be nice now it's still got some warranty..

Leather on the steering wheel started to peel off again.

Second time too. Happend last year as well and now also the fabric on my drivers seat was getting ripped.

Both replaced under warranty. Ghostz showed me his dini steering wheel and it had the same issue..

Mines peeling away too, trying to find someone who could possibly do a same day retrim in alcantra but it's impossible lol.

And edge automotive never got back to my PM last year....

I asked someone in Belgium called 'Kostum Creations' and it's about 450€ for a steeringwheel in alcantara.

Ouch, that's quite a bit. When you've had yours replaced under warranty has it been written anywhere how much it would have cost if you had to pay through Renault?

No I did not see any price but I'm guessing a leather steering wheel with the cruise control buttons isn't going to be that cheap.. :?

True. Just had a look and if Yotah is selling his for ~300€, a new one is going to be quite a bit from Renault.

Today had the 4 new tires fitted.

Went from 205/40/17 to 195/40/17 Falken ZE912. Like the Hankook, its a good tire for its price.

As with my coilovers I got them from W&D. He also used a hammer on my wheelarches and actually smoothened out those clips that sit on the inside. Now its all nice and smooth.

Haven't really threw it around the corner to try out if they rub because the new tires are still greasy.

New tires, with balancing them out, moving one of his appointements for helping me out + smoothening out my wheelarches for 516€.. Not bad I guess.

Car going back to Renault next week for replacing the lock on the drivers side, fixing the sun flap (is hanging halfway down) and repairing the plastic in my wheelarches.

Problem with the lock is that when you open the door, the window drops a half a centimeter so you can open the door easily. Lately it happens more that it wont drop and that I have to pull it from the rubber edge (in the long run that seems bad mojo for the rubber)
This also gives a problem for the lights.

When you turn off the ignition, pull the key out and open the door the automatic lights should go out but because the window doesn't drop, it thinks the door is still closed so the lights wont go out.

Stupid little thing but it bothers the shit out of me..
I've brought this car so many times to Renault now. I really like driving it but being (only) 1 year and 9 months old. The warranty ends in December so to be honest.. think I'm keeping it until its 3 years old and then start looking for another car.

If you are thinking of getting rid you should stop modifying the car my friend.

You're right. I'm planning on taking it a little bit more easy. Maybe finish the Sparco cone, just need some silicone elbows, for there rest I have all the materials.

But.. even though these small things bother me, it still puts a smile on my face when I see & drive it.

Maybe within a year I'll keep my eyes open for something different.

We'll see :)

Fun car. Little things will always go wrong. When they break just try and improve them. You will always mod your car what ever you own and this one is a lot of fun and makes you smile.

It does.. and to be honest, my car is in the garage now and the courtesy car is a Clio stationwagon 1.5 dci & I miss mine already :)

Anyway I've ordered an elbow from Auto Silicone Hoses and a few hose clips.. let's start the swearing and tinker with the airintake

Would miss movingshadow on the forum if you left and got another car. Just keep on fixing and improving
