When wheels with this damage get repaired they're filled up with a sort of resin which I'm not really a fan of, especially if you want to do some track days.

So Settuning made a me a price offer for 2 new wheels. Gave it to the police and keep our fingers crossed.

The police is your friend

Don't like Belgian police, too strict, they always pull us over when we visit friends and family in Germany for speeding and waste your time by not giving a fine!

Only going to be in the country for less than 3 hours , but atleast the Belgians are better drivers than the French, they're bloody awful!

Okay so I just got off the phone with Ktec.

Car is booked in on March 3rd, 2014.

Planned mods is a remap with:

- Ktec intercooler
- 172 injectors
- decat + sportscat
- BMC panel filter (car was never remapped with the BMC filter)

Normally it should only take 1 day but they told me that it could take 2 days due to the complexity of the decat with sportscat.

I have been patient since last year when I bought the Ktec intercooler.

The main thing was saving some money.
All that matters for me is that everything is finished before FCS 2014.

And a few trackdays I would like to go this year with Ghostz (TT Assen in the Netherlands for example)..

Good plans as you're wind is pretty cool!

Be interesting to see the power gains, just remember to be gentle with the clutch and don't do loads of launches which is what probably killed my old one off.

I'd still be interested in seeing a turbo upgrade on your car and uprated clutch kit ;) ;)

I'm not sure where I'll get with these upgrades & I don't think Ktec does too. Hence why they said I might take a little longer as they haven't done the combined mods on a Twingo GT, let alone on a Wind.

I'm guessing (hoping) somewhere between 140 & 150 bhp.

And as for the clutch, it's not a drag machine. We'll see how it goes.

If you get 150bhp and decent torque to match that'll be awesome as that's how much I reckon a RS should've had to start with!

Clutch should be fine if you don't slam the pedal down a lot

Phase 1 of Stage 2 is complete.

Intercooler is in

At the same time we gave the brakes a new fresh coat and cleaned out the airfilter.

Yesterday I called Ktec to change the date from 3rd March to 6th of March (it's easier for me on that date).

We didn't really measure it but held them next to each other (the old one is on the ground in the picture).

The new one is slightly bigger & the old one has more plastic pieces build in and around it.

Took it for a ride, and it first I didn't think something like that could actually change performance to the car but when pressing the pedal, that 'out of puff GT'-feeling has been reduced.

I'm really looking forward to the final result with Ktec!

I had a simillar one on the Audi, which was slightly larger compared to the original and it certainly helped. Not as good as a FMIC, but stays nicely hidden.

Did you keep the ducting plastic and swap it over to the new one, to get the cooling air flowing through the core?

No, and we were not convinced that the plastic parts on the OEM intercooler itself would swap over to the Ktec one. The braces that holds the intercooler did. (It was very easy to install)

I could always set-up a duct myself with one from Demontweeks. Still have one sitting on the other side from when I had my costum made airfilter.

I send an email to Ktec just to be sure.

Hello Matteo,

If you could fit the ducting it would help but it will not be completely necessary to fit it.

Anything you can fit to help get air to an intercooler is always a good idea.

Payed for the Kevlar clutch from Clutch Specialist.

Confirmed with Ktec if they would install it and they said "No problem".

I'm getting really excited for March.

Nice :p It seems that turbo's going to running out of puff soon. Shame ;)
