Laptime done in the current setup, so still not with the new manifold. I should be able to fit it in July yes.

And next winter, I´ll look into the engine swap as I might have a solution to get engine / brakes / axles and suspensions from the Clio RS test cars from Renault, for really really cheap ...

Thank you :)

I made a list of the mods that will happen on the car, starting this winter after I change of place or get a decent workshop to work on the baby...

- Clio 200 engine with Schrik cams / forged conrods and pistons / lightweight flywheel and pulleys
- ITB or carbon R3 airbox (depending on what gives the best output / price ratio
- sequential Sadev gearbox with LSD
- front Clio Cup suspension arms (will need to modify the chassis mounting for that though)
- new coilovers to fit with the new axles
- rear Clio 200 axle
- Megane Maxi brake kit (or something similar, it will depend on what I find)
- full cage
- macrolon windows
- complete paint and welding of the chassis
- 17" wheels to allow space for the brakes
- bodywork will need some work to make the wheel arches wider and get the car to look better, and also save some weight.

It will take time, a lot of it, and a bit of money (but as I'm buying many parts as used, that should actually be ok, along with selling the current parts fitted to the car) but the goal is to reach 220-230 hp and 950 kg, be about 10-12 cm wider, and have adjustable downforce to keep on the track.

Things will start during the winter I think, with the first stage being to strip the car down to bare metal and do some welding and cutting for the cage and the engine mounts. Should be between one and 2 years of work, while in the meantime I'll use the other car for daily and track.

Then, i promise, i will stop :D

Thing is, that anybody will expect Megane RS to be fast and it's no fun.
Now replace Megane with as fast (or even faster) Twingo and surprise factor goes up, and fun follow it up too :)

With these mods, even a Megane RS on the track isn't going to keep you up :D

You planning on beating the frontwheel record on the ring?

Dempsej, you're spot on with my philosophy :D

MovingShadow, huh I could catch it I guess, but for that I'll have to get it into a trackday to have the full track open, but that's not a bad idea :)
8'07" means I have to lap the Ring in BTG configuration under 7'45". That could actually very well be possible. We'll see in the next years.

I think the idea of owning a 210 bhp twingo instead of a megane would be more fun and also shows yotahs knowledge of how to make a good car mental. I look forward to seeing the car in a year or two. Once it is complete you will be able to be an even bigger demon on the ring than you already are and you can turn around and say "I made it"

Jesus those Renault driver's must be shockingly quick then! 7:45 laps aren't exactly common place on youtube!

With your cash flow i'd get a Megane and make that quicker than GT3's :D

I just need the well paid bit. Never going to happen though. So i'll shall watch this man live the dream!

Well paid yes, but also for the past 3 years I've been working two jobs, regularly doing 20hr days of work, working 7 days a week almost one week out of two, and finally recently got paid for my two years I dedicated to my second job that I was doing without any proof of payment until now.

So well paid, yes, but definitely worked to earn it, and therefore definitely planning on enjoying it :D !!!!
