The R2 Evo runs 16" for tarmac wheels, and 15" for dirt wheels, so I guess they do fit. It all depends on how far they are mounted from the axle of the wheel. Also, the Brembo calipers are much thinner than the Twingo RS ones, so you can leave less space between the disc and the wheel.

Singlespeed, I only change them because of my track use, because I change my pads almost once a month and it´s just too much of a hassle every time. And honestly, it brakes a bit better :)

I don´t know what the Clio has, but the R2 Evo has 300mm discs, one piece, vented and not drilled or slotted. The Clio is bigger in diameter I suppose, something around 320mm no?

I´m calling Renault in Dieppe in 30´ to get some informations and see what exactly are the discs to know how to fit them and see if I can´t get them cheaper somewhere else, as RS usually makes you pay extra ...

Try contacting Monster Sport here in the UK too, they run a R2 Evo.

Arf this picture answers my question !! Definitely too close to be able to fit a 15" then!

Ok well, guys, I´ve got 4 Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 which are going to be up for sale in 4 weeks :D

I need to find some semi slicks to go on the 16" OZ. Don´t know yet if I´ll take the Toyos again, as yes they are cheaper than the Yokohama A048R I tried this weekend but the Yokos are just super impressive in term of handling! They litterally kill the Toyos in the corners, and they apaprently last longer too.

I contacted our local dealer (Neil thanks for the item code) and found out that those Speedline rims cost 329€ each, that is 258£ each :(

Does anyone know whether it is possible to get those wheels somewhere else for a reasonable price? Guess not. Sorry for the off topic though!

Federal doesn't do the FZ in 16".
Silverstone, not available in 16", and only "E" approved, not road legal for street cars.
Dunlop Direzza, not as good as R888, far behind the Yokohama.
Maxsport : I'll give them a try in Medium compound first, then maybe someday in soft, as they are quite cheap (65£ each) but thay are 205/50/16, that's going to rub in the wheel arches :D

Regarding the rims, they are manufactured specially for the R2 Evo with the 4x100 holes and the R2 Evo offset (ET38), so it's a very limited production, hence the price...

Anything is road legal in UK ...

I was looking for a topic on the french forum, where the guy had built a custom rear bar like the OMP one but which bolts onto the rear bench supports. In the end, he actually has done a half-cage.
Email already sent for pricing request :D

UI'm in the process of building a harness bar that bolts into where the bench seat locks now too :)

Dubz, rear visibility is important when you need to look behind you, and on the track, all that matters to me are the cars in front of me, as they must end up behind me :D

^^ awesome response

Gives you an alternative video mounting point I'd imagine. Looks pretty cool, though surely would add a chunk of weight back to yours?

next time you are in contact with that guy, tell him that a custom half-rollcage and a center armrest just don't go along... :)

according to their facebook page, k-tec has those rims for "£125+vat available in white, gold and silver."

The Speedlines from Ktec are the old model, the R2 has a newer version, lighter, and with a different offset.

And frediii, I noticed the combo cage / armrest too :D

Phoned RST this morning to get some pricing on the parts from the R2 Evo brake setup :

- front calipers : 400€ on internet (used)
- disc brakes AP 300x27 : 149€ HT (x2)
- bracket screws : 7€ HT (x4)
- caliper screws : 3€ HT (x4)
- tarmac bracket : 141€ HT (x2)

Add a set of front RC6 for the Brembo calipers and a set of rear for the Twingo RS rear calipers, and you´re up to 1500€ roughly for the complete setup. Will be fitted in September on my baby :D
