can see a horrible misaligned bumper > arch join! have you had an accident on track or something?

Doesn't have to be perfect because RACECAR unlike others who stick that sticker on and call their road car a racecar

Yotah had a meeting with a barrier iirc when he first started tracking it at the nurburg ring, its in his project build I think

wasn't implying that it wasn't a race car, what a strange reply! infact i never mentioned a race car hahaha. anyway, still my favourite RS twingo of them all :D the wounds make it look even better and she stands absolutely perfect! delicious

The bumper misalignment is mostly due to the fact that i smashed the brackets with the tires in the Karussel when the car was setup too low with the new 16" semi slicks. I adjusted my setup but never spent the money on new brackets, hence de "stitches" to hold the bumper and fender together, but it only adds to the car's appeal imo :)

I've done a bit of cleaning today on the car, as I'm using it daily currently, it gets about 1500 miles per month so I try to spend as much time as possible taking good care of it to keep it running flawlessly. Next week, I'm taking delivery of my motorcycle so the RS won't be a daily driver anymore.

In a couple of weeks, it will be off to my workshop for a bit of maintenance and some upgrades (new shocks, pads, discs, windows) and then back home for a few more things that I'll do myself before I go to the Nürburgring for 4 days in a row on May 1st.
I'll keep tracking it a bit this season, then it will be time to decide whether I keep it and store it to come back to it in a few years for more upgrades (ie engine swap and lots of goodies) or if I put it up for sale for somebody looking for a new track toy. Not decided yet, but anyway it will be a tough choice.

New windows. Polly carb? I haven't seen any avaliable

Get to save a couple of Kg from above the CofG

probleme of changing windows some people (car glass company) tell me the only way is to break the old windows oO

serioulsy wtf ... I don't want to break my old windows and at the same time put mess everywhere in the car

if you found better solution tell uss

From inside, you may be able to push a thin flexible piece of metal between the glass and body to cut the adhesive. Unless tou have a suitable knife or very thin and flexible paint scraper, grind the teeth from a hacksaw blade and make a handle for it. Cut the end off so its square and then sharpen the end so you can use it as a push blade. Once you have a break in the sealant, pass a piece of cheese wire /piano wire through and use that to cut through the rest, to work your way slowly round the frame.

Seriously, you listen to the Carglass guys? They broke my windshield in half when they came to repair it the first time, and they broke the new one in half when they installed it

Just slides a thin cable through the rubber seal and then work your way around.
But anyway, my workshop will have the pleasure to take care of that for me :p

Yes MS, see you on May 1st, but I'm getting the feeling it's going to be 4 days of constant passenger swapping for me :D

aye man, you're pretty much bang on. there's a fancy (and somewhat silly) special tool that i remember renault use for this. it's basically what you just described, it's basically strong wire with tiny, sharp (fake) diamonds embedded for cutting. you need to etch out a small passageway to get through to the other side first but once the wires through you are good to go. renault made them very hard to take out, more so than most cars on the road .... well we all know why $$ :p

i'm sure neil and anthony (yotah) will be the first one to tell anyone, there is a way around absolutely everything man :)

for sur they are a bit stupid (they ask e why i want to put makrolon... glass company...-_- )
but they say it's super difficult to not damage the paint with the cable

I guess it's true but can depend a lot of the car
but maybe a good garage can do it properly

@singlespeed : yep maybe i can try but if i didn't manage it will be problematic if i need car a rainy day ^^

mazmaz - some tape or cellotape around the edges of the windows where the cable would touch the paint, little bit of problem solving is all you need there chap lol

Kind of related to the Twingo...

In order to stop using the RS daily and putting so much mileage on it, I bought this morning a 2008 Kawasaki Z750 which has 16 000 miles on it, and a fewq extra goodies like Rizoma products all around, Top Blocks, and a HP Corse exhaust. Nice to ride, not too noisy, not the best bike ever though but for 4k it doesn't get much better IMO :)

First ride to work this morning, all wet :D

I had a mad obsession with your ring videos on YouTube this morning hahaha I was late for work which is all your fault

I love these, looked at replacing my current bike with one. Looks nice and tidy for the mileage

Yep it was well maintained.

The first day was nice, but really crappy at the same time. First I got saeked on both trips to and from work, never a fun feeling, then some absolute douchebag with a piaggio MP3 thought it was a great idea to move my bike in order to get his crappy 3 wheeler out of the parking lot, and he achieved to let the bike fall on its left side!!! Thanks to the Top Block, no bodywork was damaged but the clutch lever was bent. I managed to straighten it almost back to normal once home, but then the ball at the tip snapped off. So tomorrow I'm off to the shop to get some brake pads anyway, so I'll see if they have pop-up levers for the brake and clutch.

The bike needs a good clean, hoepfully the clouds clear the way during the weekend and I can properly wash it.

I'm waiting for a set of spray cans of Vintage Gold Plastidip to dip the rims. I want to keep the bike in black and just have the contrasting gold/magnesium look on the rims.

Clean Twingo and now clean Z750. It definitely needed it, some proper grease had accumulated a bit everywhere and I went through a complete can of brake cleaner and half my 750ml bottle of Muc Off brake dust cleaner to get it back to it's original colours :D

I did a quick wipe on the RS as well after I was done changing the pads on the bike. Now they're both clean and nice as I like them. The RS will be displayed at a Charity event in Paris in a couple of weeks, and right after that, I'll drop it off at the workshop for some work to carried out on it before I take it back, finish a few things and then head to the Nurburgring in May!
