It does, and it's much cleaner than before! The downside is that in the footwell area for both driver and passenger, but mostly driver as I almost never have a passenger, it gets some wear and tear so I'll have to do a bit of a retouch. Maybe I'll put a floor panel bolted onto the chassis but I'm not sure I want to bother with it (laziness inside!)

Maz, I can model the airbox pretty easily to custom build it for our engine bay, using an existing Green Filter (which is pretty much how they did the Cup airbox anyway). I've contacted MC Racing for a price quote for a FRP or a CF box using the original design or a custom one. The more customers are interested the cheaper the price obviously.

Got an answer yesterday from MC Racing. They can do a CF and a FRP airbox for the Twingos, just not right now as their schedule is full. I'll be in touch again with them in March to see if I go further with this.

wil this airbox fit with the battery mounted in the engine bay or is it only made when the battery is in the boot of the car

The R2 airbox only fits with the battery relocated. If we build a custom one, I could make it so it fits even with the original battery position but that would kinda ruin the whole point of doing a custom airbox if it can't be bigger / better than the OEM...

Yotah - quick question. You're running OZ Ultralegs on the Twingo? What do they weigh? I'm looking after a different set of wheels for mine and May as well reduce the rolling weight while I'm on. Have you got any pictures with them on?

AS_BO : 45 i think.

Yep, she still looks decent despite the abuse she takes. But soon she'll look very cool again :)

Agreed. Still scrubs up really well!

Quick question to the guys here : I've got in contact with GAZ for a set of new shocks and springs for my car, and they have a set for Clio 2 RS, but just checking what is the bolt spacing on the Twingo, where you fix the shock on the wheel hub assenlby : 54mm like Clios 172 & 182 or 60mm like the Cup versions?

Once thing, I contacted them last night at 1am, got an answer by email this morning at 6am!!! Best customer service I've ever seen in my life!

Also guys, I'll get my hands on the CAD of the X44 (our Twingos description name in the Renault books) so I'll be able to model a proper custom airbox to be done shortly!

Maybe also a big, what am I saying, MASSIVE new part added to the car soon :)

As far as I know it's 60mm just like 182 Cup & Trophy, but I could be wrong :)

Do you think you could make two versions of the airbox? One for those who still have the stock battery in place and for those who don't? I know it's a stupid question, just guessing the first option would sell quite well :)
