To motivate some around here, I also register this year for 3 events of Tough Mudder. Kinda like the StrongManRun and Braveheart Battle that I also do this year (3 events in total), it is on a 12mile course designed by british Special Forces. The cool thing, like in the other events, is that you absolutely have to help each other to pass some obstacles, which is nice.

Here's a cool video showing what it's all about :

And the top 5% finishers from each event get invited to The Toughest Mudder. Basically, the course is 5mile long, and the winner is the guy with the most laps... in 24 hours!!! Yep 24 hours...

I was tempted to apply for tough mudder this year. But I don't think I have the balls for the electric wires...

Ahhh the electro-chocs lol

They did shake my head quite well last year during the StrongManRun, gave me a pretty good headache ahahah.

I used to be really fit, played footy 3 times a week and mountain biking, then got a new job which is shift work and took a year off football (after an argument with the manager :S). So have put a bit on now, am playing football again, my main problem is my diet, I eat utter rubbish! Gotta get back on it!
Another female footballer - awesome :-D
Haha, yeah, played from when I was little! I love it!
Awesome, what position do you play? Played since I was little and was VC at High School :) play once a week now! x
I am striker, and if we have no goalie, then I am the goalie! Lol! I'm no good in midfield or defence, I am lost in those positions! Haha! You?

I did an hour and a half gym session today.. 15 mins on legs forward bike, 10 minutes on normal bike, 5 minute jog to cool down, abdominal, chest bi and triceps inbetween.. Feeling tired!

Hour of football tonight. 1st game back. Been for a few runs. Up to 2.5k. 10k by april is the goal

Not bad guys. 7 hours of solid climbing today for me.

3:30 till 10:30. My fingers only bled a few times :p

I took around an hours break throughout the 7 hours. But just 5 minutes here and there

And I'm going for another climbing tomorrow for about 3 hours. A quick sesh ;)

I did 1 hour in gym 2nite, been doing 3 nights a week!
Aim is to be playing football again, not played in a year because this stupid ankle!!!
I hate the gym though!!!!

Doing well, just tired a lot of the time! But even with all this tiredness, I can't bloomin sleep! x

Don't worry your not alone. The past few weeks I only get about 4-5 hours sleep at the max. When I'm not asleep I'm thinking about sleeping. Not fun. Been listening to loads of university lectures on iTunes U. Thought I should at least spend my time being productive ish

There a few military lads on here who'll be able to help with fitness.

I'm aiming to apply to the army royal military police within a few months so ill be spending every other day at the gym cycling rowing and running until the snow clears to run properly and cycle again!

Oh also If big Lee is still active on here he has muscles the size of solar systems... so may have tip on building up muscle.

RMP?

You don't need to be fit! Being FAT helps and generally making every infantry soldiers life hell on the frontline is also a requirement lol

aha true that although I have seen some absolute yoooonits in the RMP there was this one guy that looked like Dolph Lundgren wouldn't want to be in the poopoo with him

and as for my progress not a lot has happened haha I've been pissed more times than I've been running :l

I love REMFS purely for taking the piss out of.

You had blokes like me not skinny but fairly average build and height running rings and generally being 100x fitter than all the remfs who literally spent all day in the gym becoming units lol

But then infantry is hardcore ;)

running is pretty much all you need to be fair, anyone with a degree of fitness smash out pushups and situps but it takes effort to bash out a sub 8 min PFA haha
not that I really need to be able to because I'm part of the chairborne charlies myself haha seeing what I can do to change that soon though
