running is pretty much all you need to be fair, anyone with a degree of fitness smash out pushups and situps but it takes effort to bash out a sub 8 min PFA haha
not that I really need to be able to because I'm part of the chairborne charlies myself haha seeing what I can do to change that soon though
I thought it was all about the beep test now. Or have they worked put it takes too long now theres much less man days avaliable after the cutbacks. Why spend 30mins when 8 will do.

Joe. Sounds like you need to now get off your bum and do something. Having been fit isn't being fit.

The RAF have to do the beep test and the navy can choose to if they want and in the army we have to do the mile and a half.
I personally hate the beep test its a test to see how good you are at running shuttles which isn't practical at all IMO

I had a few years of the mile and a half, then the beep test came in which was getting to be a joke by the time I left as the levels needed dropped with age and it was hardly a jog at the finishing level for over 30's. The RAF PTI's probably love the beep test as they don't need to move

I doubt if I could do an 8 min now as its prety much a sprint, but 4miles in 30mins isn't too bad

There a few military lads on here who'll be able to help with fitness.

I'm aiming to apply to the army royal military police within a few months so ill be spending every other day at the gym cycling rowing and running until the snow clears to run properly and cycle again!

Oh also If big Lee is still active on here he has muscles the size of solar systems... so may have tip on building up muscle.

RMP?

You don't need to be fit! Being FAT helps and generally making every infantry soldiers life hell on the frontline is also a requirement lol

Yeah.. I know it's the most hated roll in the military  then again I have looked into RAF regiment gunner, which alot... All army lads take the piss out off

Yeah the raf reg was a bit of a joke amongst regular infanteers lol

I'd say most hated were paras, raf reg and rlc lol

Im still fairly fit if im honest. Just before i left 5 years of pure grit made me feel like superman!

Went for a run with my brother 5 miles the other dah and felt fine.

Problem was i then caught a cold as im WEAK lol

I'd love to do Snowdon again. Should get a meet up going. Good roads to drive and then a pure lick out up a massive hill :)

Haven't been today but tomorrow going for another bench press , push press , technique for snatch and overhead squats then the fran workout

For time:
21-15-9
Thrusters @ 40kg
Pull ups

Yeah rafreg is gets ripped on by every man and his dog
21 pull-ups in a row is a good effort! My record was about 18 then I stopped for a bit I can do about 14 now :/

I heard that when about 20 blokes tried attacking Bastion they did better than they should have because raf reg were monging it on stag.

I also heard they are calling it the 'battle of bastion'

Lmfao!

Bit of an insult to anyone that has genuinly had some decent trigger time :D

Off topic.. I want to see some skin boys!
Obviously i shall not ask the same of the ladies, but feel free!
