Dubz if you wana stay lean workout cals needed for maint and add 12% add more if you wana bulk quicker and arnt to worried about fat (burn off in spring for summer)

I need to be going at about 500 calories above maintenance as most days I'll do 4+ hours of climbing

I also managed to do my first ever muscle up. Followed by 2 more worst form ever but I blame the rings I'm using :p

Don't have rings at my place so been trying on bar but still can't get it :( haha need to keep practising strict ad Kipping pull ups first I think

I hate Kipping pull ups. I feel like I'm cheating. I just do normal pull ups but I do really slow negatives. Then moved to the top of the muscle up position and started doing really slow negatives.

Look at some guys called Barstarzz on YouTube they do some amazing stuff with just a bar

What shoes/trainers does Everyone wear for the gym when doing a mix of weights and running etc

Some expensive overpriced mizuno running trainers lol. They're pretty good though, just regret spending 120 quid on them ha

For weight training just a pair of pumps especially if I'm squatting or dead lifting but for everything else some swanky Adidas running shoes :)

Some 30 quid running Adidas shoes from sports direct for everything and Kipping isn't cheating its hard! I still do strict pull ups Kipping get more done in less time

More efficient in time/rep wise but less time under tension. Slow pull ups beat kipping pull ups for strength and hypertrophy

For training kipping makes no sense but in competition it makes perfect sense
Train hard
Fight easy

I'd only ever train kipping pull ups if i wanted to go into crossfit competitions

Literally the only purpose they serve in a training programme

How do they make no sense like dubs said strict better for hyper trophy and strength Kipping use some different fibres create better endurance control (you may not think it but it does lol) gets more done less time uses more muscles and gets heart rate up :p tbh one is useless as the other IF training for useable strength / endurance

Either way, you will still be doing the same amount of work to get from a hanging position to a pullup position (or any start/finish position). Infact, kipping probably uses more energy overall, as your throwing your lower bodyweight to gain momentum in the upper body and reduce the apparent weight of your legs/lower body. Once its in motion, the momentum needs to be controled and that may take more energy from muscles throughout the whole body. As its a probably a quicker rep, the overall power required will be higher, but that can come from more muscle groups... Not just arms, shoulders and back.

Are normal bicep curls a kipping form of preacher curls?
